Packer x ASICS Tiger x New Era “SCARY COLD” Collection

It’s crazy how seemingly fleeting moments in pop culture can forever alter the way we think about a word, or a phrase, or a thing. Ever since a memorable Thursday night in the ’90s, many of us now enjoy an extra layer of giddiness when we hear the words “GORE-TEX®”. Sure, we already had a deep love and appreciation for GORE-TEX® brand technology and its magical abilities to keep us warm and dry, but thanks to one of the most infamous winter coats in history, the term has come to mean so much more.

As an homage to all things GORE-TEX®, we’ve partnered with ASICS Tiger TM brand and New Era for a special collaborative collection that will hopefully shed some light on the age old question: just how cold is “SCARY COLD”?

Our winterized take on the GEL-Lyte® V GTX model ($170) features a familiar color palette comprised of premium black leather and rusty tan suede. In addition to the GORE-TEX® lining, we’ve included some other rugged cold weather updates like the boot-inspired metal d-ring lace rivets and a layer of ballistic mesh behind the asymmetrical medial logo stripes.

Also included in the collection are two GORE-TEX® equipped New Era fitted hats ($60 each) — one featuring the GORE-TEX® logo in gold, and the other, a classic navy New York Yankees cap that a gives a little nod to “Assistants to the Traveling Secretary” everywhere.

The Packer “Scary Cold” collection will release 12 noon EST Saturday, January 28th, in-store at both Packer locations and online at PackerShoes.com.

In addition to the weekend release at Packer, there will be a special early-drop breakfast event at iconic NYC institution, Tom’s Restaurant (2880 Broadway), the morning of Friday, January 27th from 8-11am. 50 pairs of the shoes will be available first come, first served, complete with a waterproof ULTRAOLIVE® dustbag and a complimentary diner breakfast for everyone that purchases a pair of the shoes.

PLEASE NOTE:
The shoe runs true to size. It is recommended to go a half size down in the fitted hats.
