To celebrate the launch of Carhartt WIP FW24 collection Packer dives into the career of DJ and audio sound designer Mo Yasin.
Mo Yasin is a Brooklyn based DJ, event producer, and sound-system designer. Drawn to music at a young age, Yasin’s upbringing in Virginia and eventual move to New York City opened doors — both culturally and technically – into sound system culture. From the early stages of his career as a DJ, his practice has since evolved to incorporate all the various forms of engaging with and sharing music: curation, creation, production, and reproduction.
For this series Packer presents Yasin in various environments that are integral to his craft, highlighting his interactions with his surroundings and the tools of his trade. Through this visual narrative, we present an in-depth look at his creative process, professional journey, and the unique atmosphere that influences his work.
