After nearly a century in Yonkers, Packer planted its roots in New Jersey in 2003, and what has since grown from those seeds has exceeded our wildest expectations. Our latest collaborative project with adidas Consortium gives a nod to our surroundings with a celebration of the Garden State.
The negative stigmas of a drive down the turnpike can quickly be reversed once you venture inwards and come to find that the nation’s most densely populated state is also blossoming with natural beauty everywhere you look. Like the rose that grew from concrete, all throughout New Jersey's eclectic chaos, nature is fighting its way through the madness to coexist in harmony.
The Packer x adidas ZX 9000 “Meadow Violet” draws its inspiration from the New Jersey state flower, and the awe-inspiring resilience it demonstrates by thriving in an environment that’s constantly trying to stand in its way. Dressed in a premium combination of suede, nubuck and mesh, the shoe uses subtle hits of color to tell the story of the meadow violet’s perseverance even in the harshest of conditions.
Once the pinnacle model of the heralded ZX series, the 9000 holds a special place for adidas diehards. For Packer, it's a true honor to have had a chance to create something that is hopefully deemed worthy of adding to that storied legacy.
Limited in quantities and exclusive only to Packer, the ZX 9000 “Meadow Violet” ($140) will release this Tuesday, October 8th, at 12 noon EST in-store at both locations and online at PackerShoes.com.
