Drawing inspiration from a love for mid-century furniture design, the Cesca collection from Hayato Arai's New York label Hayato pays homage to the design language found in Cesca chairs. Of the many furniture styles Hayato has referenced in his designs over recent years, the Cesca chair — owned by his grandmother in Japan — remains a favored item of nostalgia from his time growing up.
Using a season-appropriate palette with inspiration from traditional workwear, Packer adds a unique look to the collection featuring a Trucker Jacket, Double Knee Pant, and Tote Bag. Each item is cut from a heavy cotton-canvas material for durability and features traditional Hayato design tags co-branded with Packer.
Featured is Lichen's Christine Espinal who is seen working in the studio on an upcoming project for Packer. Having previously worked on custom items for our retail locations in Teaneck & Jersey City, her current work here will soon be available to the public.
